Howard Webb given Arsenal 2 games on the trott
Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 1:40PM
This weekend is the Arsenal vs Man Utd game and for the 2nd week on the trot Arsenal are going to be Referee’d by Howard Webb. This is the first time a Referee has officiated the same team twice on the trot in the Premier League. Personally if your the best man for the job what does it matter. Throughout a season you get to Referee the same teams twice and get to know players, so what does it matter if it’s 2 weeks on the trot.If there had been some controversy in last weekends game then I am sure this appointment wouldn't have been made. As it happened its the first of the 3 games involving the big four this season that has gone without incindet and so why not keep Howard on the game. The last word has to go to the Premier League spokesman responding to Graham Poll saying that Webb would have to prove his impartiality. The Premier League spokesman added: “Graham Poll is entitled to his opinion but it is not particularly helpful.”
